Staff at a shop in Preston are ‘extremely shaken’ after being threatened by armed robbers.
Two men entered the One Stop store on Ribbleton Lane at around 6.15am on Friday (30 July), wearing face-coverings, with one wielding a meat cleaver and the other a knife.
They made threats towards staff before making off with almost £1,000 worth of items.
Officers investigating the incident have issued an appeal for information to help identify the suspects. Both men were described as having local accents and aged in their mid-20s or 30s.
One of the men is further described as wearing a black Adidas tracksuit and black trainers. He was wearing a black face covering and gloves. The second man was wearing a red Converse hooded jacket with white draw cords, white and blue camo combat pants, a black face covering and blue surgical gloves.
“This was a nasty incident which left staff members at the shop extremely shaken. Nobody should be put through an ordeal like this while simply going about their work,” DC Stephen Rotherham, of Preston Police, said.
“Our enquiries are very much ongoing and we now believe the men in the image may be able to help with our investigation. If you think you might know who they are, please get in touch with us straight away.
“Alternatively if you have any other information that could help with our investigation, or think you know who is responsible, please tell us.”
Anybody with information may contact the police on 101, quoting log 231 of July 30th.
