Nisa touches milestone figure in Making a Difference Locally donations

Donations made to good causes via Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity have reached
    a milestone amount this month.

Since the charity’s formation in 2008, more than 16,000 individual donations have been
given to charities and other good causes across the UK, including foodbanks, refuges, youth sports teams, community groups, hospices, health and wellbeing charities and many more.

Throughout 2021 alone, Nisa stores supported local charities and groups with 2,060
donations, totalling £1,055,227, demonstrating retailers’ continued commitment to supporting their local communities.

One recent beneficiary of a MADL donation was Children’s Hospice South West, who received funding of £250 from Gwilliams of Edington to provide music therapy to children
and families at Charlton Farm children’s hospice.

Nisa touches milestone figure in Making a Difference Locally donations

Emma Parker, Area Fundraiser at Children’s Hospice South West said: “Thank you so much for your support. It really makes such a difference in helping us continue to provide care and enrichment opportunities to many local children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

“We really could not do it without the support of people and businesses like yourself.”

Kate Carroll, Nisa’s Head of Charity added: “We’re delighted that communities have
benefited from more than 16,000 donations since 2008, as the funding given by our independent retailers can often make a significant difference for the many small charities
    and community groups supported.

“It’s fantastic to celebrate this tremendous amount of donations made, and we look forward
    to many more.”
