Nisa to relaunch Fresh Rewards rebate scheme

    Peter Batt

Nisa will be relaunching its Fresh Rewards rebate scheme at the start of next year, its managing director said.

“We’ve listened to our customer feedback and the main request was for simplicity. Hopefully we have delivered that with the change to a spend-based rebate having listened to the feedback from the trial,” Peter Batt said in his end of year message.

The symbol group will also continue to invest in prices, he added, after Nisa has made a significant number of investments in several key categories including beers, wines and spirits, tobacco, and confectionery this year.

Batt informed that there would be no Nisa Expo in 2024 as they revert to a spring event, as it was the case pre-pandemic. The event will now be held in spring 2025.

Batt added that the group and its parent Co-op would be working with retailers and authorities to continue its work on retail crime and staff safety.

“We’ve been highlighting to the government and all MPs just how important colleague and customer safety is and you’ll see the differences we are going to make in 2024,” he said.

Commenting on the cost of living crisis, he said the increasing demand for own brand products has been great news for the group, thanks to the popularity of Co-op own brand range.

“Over 90 per cent of our retailers and partners are investing in Co-op own brand and we’re looking forward to some brand-new products and even better availability in 2024,” he added.
