The minister for public finance, planning and community wealth and the leader of Scotland’s Labour Party are the headline speakers at the Fed’s annual Scottish conference later this month.
Delegates will gather at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel for the conference on Tuesday, March 28, where Tom Arthur MSP and Anas Sarwar MP will deliver presentations and take part in question and answer sessions.
Fed members will hear from representatives of the Healthy Living Programme, who will be discussing business opportunities in store with healthy home meal solutions.
There will also be a session to help independent retailers prepare for the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) in Scotland, which is due to come into force on August 16, 2023.
Scottish Fed president Ferhan Ashiq said: “We have an excellent line-up of speakers at this year’s conference and I’m really looking forward to meeting our members from across the country and taking part in some important debates and discussions.
“I hope as many of our members in Scotland as possible can attend for what is sure to be an interesting and informative day.”
