Japanese food manufacturers Kikkoman is rolling out a new summer promotion across 10,000 bottles of its Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce.

The bottle will carry a crowner or wrapper to sit around the neck of the product, designed to give consumers helpful hints, tips and usage ideas including recipes.

The promotion comes as Kikkoman Ponzu extends retail listings across the multiples.

The summer promotion on the pouring/ dipping sauce will be carried on across all stores, commencing from mid- August 2020.

Bing-yu Lee, general manager, Kikkoman UK, said: “Our Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce is gaining traction but we know from our research that consumers want more ideas on ways to use it.

“Ponzu is a relatively new concept to the British palate and it’s important that we share ideas so consumers can make the most of it to lift the taste of everyday foods. And it comes into its own during the summer when salads cry out for a great dressing.

“As well as in salads it’s also popular drizzled over grilled meats, in particular chicken and fish and it’s a great alternative to vinegar over traditional fish and chips.”

Kikkoman Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce is available in a 250ml bottle with an MSP of £2.79.
