JJ drivers intervene to stop potentially fatal crash

Florin Wolf (L) and Daniel Samoluk

Timely intervention by two JJ Foodservice drivers delivering groceries has averted a potentially fatal accident last week on the busy motorway in Leicester.

The incident unfolded before JJ’s Daniel Samoluk and Florin Wolf as they noticed the front wheel of the motorist in front of them coming off, tearing the brake cables and leaving the driver unable to stop.

With the driver deliberately crashing the car into bushes off road, Samoluk and Wolf blocked the traffic to keep him safe. They even got his wheel back!

The daughter of the motorist put an appeal out on Facebook to find the drivers and thank them for their bravery. She eventually found them and extended her thanks.

Mustafa Kiamil, chief executive of JJ Foodservice, commented: “We are so proud of our drivers – Florin and Daniel are a great demonstration of the first class service we always strive for at JJ Foodservice.”
