Ice cream-inspired Cadbury Mini Rolls flavours are back for summer

Premier Foods is giving its Cadbury Mini Rolls range a summer makeover by bringing back its popular Cadbury Ice Cream Mini Rolls.

Available in stores now in two classic ice cream-inspired flavours, Neapolitan and Mint Choc, the range has driven cake category growth with 73 per cent of volume incremental to Total Mini Rolls and the return is set to have a similar impact.

Stocked in the ambient cake fixture alongside existing Cadbury Mini Rolls, the new variants can also be enjoyed frozen, helping retailers to tap into a broader range of sales opportunities as they provide a twist on the way people enjoy cake this summer.

“We are delighted to reveal the return of Cadbury Ice Cream Mini Rolls for summer 2021. They are a brilliant twist on the bestselling and much-loved range, perfect for shoppers who want to enjoy the trusted quality of Cadbury cakes in Neapolitan and Mint Choc ice cream flavours,” Mathew Bird, brand director for sweet treats at Premier Foods, commented.

“Over the course of its initial launch, Cadbury Ice Cream Mini Rolls had greater appeal to under 45s and family-focused shoppers when compared to the total cakes category. Typically, sales of chocolate-flavoured cakes can drop around 9 per cent over the summer, compared to the rest of the year, so this range is well-placed to attract a broader range of shoppers to the cake fixture as a limited edition designed specifically for the warmer weather.”

Cadbury Ice Cream Mini Rolls are available across grocery and convenience in packs of five with an MRSP of £1.00.
