Leading gut health bagged snack brand Boundless said it has secured £1.5 million investment in recent funding round.
The successful raise comes from industry investors, including Graze co-founder Ben Jones and former head of M&S Food.
Despite the challenging landscape for female-led businesses in the UK, Boundless said its latest raise puts founder and chief executive Cathy Moseley in the top 10 per cent of FMCG female founders.
Cathy, Founder of Boundless, commented, “I’m incredibly proud to announce Boundless as the UK’s number one gut health bagged snack, having contributed to 13 per cent of the ‘better for you’ crisp growth and driving penetration where this key metric is in decline at a category level,” Moseley said.
“Boundless’ market share is growing faster than category in major retailers at 5.1 per cent vs category at 0.2 With our current trajectory, Boundless is on their way to owning one per cent of the better for you category by the end of the financial year.”
Boundless has seen its sales growing 110.2 per cent year-on-year in value and 171 per cent by volume. The brand said its value share in the ‘better for you’ category is leading at a rate 1.6 times faster than its closest competitor, marking a 58 per cent year-on-year growth.
Alongside the latest investment raise, Boundless’ growth continues further across new foodservice wins with the UK’s largest wholesalers Bidfood, Brakes and Foodbuy, becoming the first gut health snacking offering for these foodservice giants.
