Free-from treats company Livia’s reaches £1million crowdfunding target
Livia's now has plans to sell their products abroad in Europe, Asia, Middle East and the US by 2025

UK free-from sweet company Livia’s has raised over £1 million through their public crowdfunding platform on Seedrs.

The funding will be used towards launching new products specialised for those with dietary requirements from biscuits, chocolates and dips.

Over 400 new investors have contacted the company since 2014, with other business plans outlined include developing their marketing, scale upon operations, improve direct-to-consumer platform and sales teams.

Livia claims to be the fastest-growing free-from treat brand in the UK, with many of their products bring sold in several major retailer chains, including WhSmith and Holland & Barrett.

Olivia Wollenberg, founder and CEO of Livia’s, said: “I’ve always wanted to bring our customers and community on board as we continue to grow.

“From day one, our community has been at the heart of everything we do, and every decision we make, and now is the time for them to be involved in a more meaningful way.

“With this raise, we will be able to accelerate our growth in the UK and beyond while continuing to revolutionise sweet snacking through product innovation.”

The business is now estimated to be valued at £11.3m, with plans to begin selling products internationally in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the US by 2025.

Inspiration behind Livia’s becoming a business was due to the increasing customer demand for tasty vegan, natural and free-from products.
