    Edrington UK and Treasury Wine Estates join Portman Group

    Edrington UK and Treasury Wine Estates have joined the Portman Group, the alcohol social responsibility body and alcohol marketing self-regulator announced today (14).

    The two new additions bring the total to 17 Council Members and increases the breadth of the Portman Group’s representation with two industry-leading companies- one wine producer and the other, a whisky supplier.

    This builds on the success of the past 18 months which has seen an additional six members join. The new members join some of the leading alcohol brands in the UK devoted to responsibly alcohol marketing and underlines that the Portman Group represents and has the full support of all parts of the alcohol sector including beer, wine, spirits, cider and ready-to-drink products.

    Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Edrington UK is the sales, marketing and distribution business of global spirits producer, Edrington. Its portfolio includes The Macallan, Highland Park and The Famous Grouse. As a valued distribution partner for Beam Suntory, Edrington UK also represents its brands in the UK marketplace, including Laphroaig, Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark and The House of Suntory.

    Treasury Wine Estates is a leading global wine company, headquartered in Australia, with wine production and packaging facilities in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the Americas, with an iconic portfolio of wines, including Penfolds, Wolf Blass, Lindemans and Blossom Hill, which are sold in more than 70 countries around the world.
