Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has wrapped up its biggest-ever alcohol ready-to-drink (ARTD) giveaway – a campaign that united convenience and wholesale retailers nationwide behind the UK’s fastest-growing alcohol segment.
Designed to support retailers during challenging economic times, the initiative offered meaningful prizes to help drive visibility, reward engagement and offer tangible support to retailers.
Running over a 12-week period, the campaign generated hundreds of entries and helped sell thousands of cases from across CCEP’s alcohol ready-to-drink range – which includes:
- Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola – including Zero Sugar and Cherry variants - now the number one ready-to-drink SKU in GB
- Absolut Vodka & SPRITE – including Watermelon - the largest value growth contributor in Pre-Mix Vodka RTDs
- BACARDÍ & Coca-Cola – an iconic collaboration between the world’s most popular soft drink and the world’s most awarded rum brand
- Schweppes canned cocktails – Gin Twist and Paloma Bliss - bringing over 200 years of mixology expertise into the ready-to-drink space
The headline prize – a customised electric Ford E-Transit van – has been awarded to a long-standing convenience operator in Brighton, who described the experience as a welcome boost for their business and local profile.
In addition to the main prize, ten other standout retailers each received a £500 wholesale depot voucher – a practical reward designed to help them reinvest in their stores, strengthen their ranges and stay at the forefront of the alcohol ready-to-drink opportunity.
Supported by bold in-depot activation, the initiative captured attention, drove engagement and reinforced alcohol ready-to-drink as a must-stock category – now worth over £656 million in GB.
