    Burglars use forklift to force entry into Scunthorpe Booker

    Four men allegedly assaulted a security guard at the Booker depot on Cupola Way in Scunthorpe in an attempted burglary on Sunday (23 April) evening. They forced their way into the premises using a forklift.

    The police were notified at around 11.30pm on and are currently investigating the incident.

    “Having reportedly caused damage to a wall, the men then attempted to take a safe before fleeing the scene in a van,” a spokesperson for Humberside Police said.

    “Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured as a result of the incident.”

    Booker remained closed to the public on Monday, with a scene guard in place throughout the day.
