    Burglars steal cigarettes and cash from Runcorn best-one

    Officers have issued an appeal for witnesses following a burglary at a shop in Runcorn.

    Cigarettes and cash have been stolen from the best-one store in Beechwood Avenue as five men forced the shutters and front door of the store sometime between 1.41am and 1.51am on 30 May.

    They then fled on motorbikes along Beechwood Avenue.

    DS Rob McLoughlin said: “I’d appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV or dashcam footage which has captured the events to contact us.

    “We’re making a number of enquires in the area and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have information that will help with our investigation.”
