Barratt launch their latest sour sweet: Wham Sour Squad

Confectionery brand Barratt, part of the Valeo Snackfoods, has launched its latest addition of products under the Wham brand, renowned for its iconic sour flavour the Sour Squad. Created specifically for those who enjoy a super sour zing, the Sour Squad brings together a tongue-tantalising range of flavours that will leave sweet fans craving for more.

In line with recent consumer trends towards softer texture and the growth of the soft gum sub-sector, Barratt has developed Wham Sour Squad, which have a soft and squidgy texture but also pack a punch with a range of sour flavours. These rocket shaped super sour squidgy sweets come in four flavours, including the familiar Wham flavour of raspberry, along with apple, cherry and lemon, designed to send customers taste buds in to outer space.

“Relevancy is key and we can clearly see that consumers are increasingly seeking out gums and jellies when buying sweets,” said Marketing Director Russell Tanner. “That’s why we’re innovating to grow our presence in this space, an approach we believe will allow us to bring the distinctive and delicious flavours of our much-loved sweets to new audiences”

The Wham Sour Squad is available in Co-Op stores now, prior to wider release, MRRP £1 for 95g bag.
