Nottinghamshire Police has issued a witness appeal following a midnight burglary at a Warsop post office.

Four people wearing balaclavas broke into the store on Monday night, the police said. Officers were called to the high street at around 12.15am on Tuesday 28 July.

“We are exploring a number of lines of enquiry in connection with the break in but we are now appealing for anyone with any information to get in touch with us as soon possible,” said Inspector Kylie Davies, of Nottinghamshire Police.

The gang is believed to be travelling in small black car. They have broken the glass of the front door to enter the building.

Nothing is thought to have been taken in the incident.

“Burglary can have a devastating impact on businesses and we will do everything we can to find who is responsible for this,” Davies added.

Anyone with information that could aid officers in their investigation is requested to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 17 of 28 July 2020.
