Masked man stormed a convenience store in Cardiff and threatened the staff demanding cash, stated recent reports.
As per local reports, the incident took place in the McColl’s convenience store in Cardiff’s Grangetown on Saturday (9). The suspect stormed the shop just before 10pm and threatened with a firearm or imitation firearm and demanded money.
However he left the Birchington Avenue shop empty handed after staff refused and raised the alarm. No-one was injured during the incident but were left badly shaken.
The suspect is described as wearing all dark clothing and he had his face covered. He was on a black pedal cycle and rode off towards The Broadway, police said.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said, “Inquiries are on-going and we would appeal for anyone with information, dash cam or CCTV which could assist to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number, quoting Ref SE22058745.
