A convenience store in Swindon was raided by armed robbers who made off with hundreds of pounds from the till.

According to local reports, Delta News in Welton Road in Swindon was raided by balaclava-clad armed men at around 7.55pm on Sunday (28). The men entered the corner shop, threatened an employee with a weapon and then took several hundred pounds from the till and left the premises.


As described by Swindon Police in a social media appeal, one of the men was wearing all black. Police believes he is a white male, at least 6ft tall and spoke with a local accent.

The other man was wearing olive green shorts and a grey top with an oval logo on the front. He is also thought to be white, around 5ft 9ins and spoke with a local accent.

Enquiries are still on. Police say anyone who witnessed the two men before or after the incident, or anyone with any other information which could help with the investigation, should contact them.
