    Apothic launches digital sampling campaign

    This March, 25k consumers across the UK will have the opportunity to taste Apothic Red, the UK’s best-selling premium US red wine, via an innovative digital sampling campaign.

    A comprehensive advertising campaign, targeting almost half a million target consumers, will run across Facebook and Instagram encouraging them to click for their chance to claim a free 250ml sample of Apothic Red. Their sample will arrive in the post within a week, alongside email communications detailing where the wine is available to purchase.

    “Apothic Red’s strong repeat purchase rate gives us confidence that once consumers try the wine, they will fall in love with its silky-smooth style and join the loyal legion of Apothic fans already existing in the UK,” said Mark Stammers, Sales Director UK & Ireland at E&J Gallo Winery.

    “Apothic Red is a gateway to a more premium world of wine, and giving consumers the opportunity to try the wine at no cost allows them to experience the step up in quality. We hope to see more consumers trade up as a result.”

    The UK’s #1 premium red wine from the US, Apothic Red grew by +29 per cent in revenue in2021, making it the greatest overall contributor to growth in US premium wines.

    “With rich layers of dark fruit complemented by hints of mocha and vanilla and a long, smooth finish, Apothic Red is perfect to enjoy with a honey-glazed baked camembert with fresh, crusty bread, or serve it with grilled meats or with indulgent chocolate-based desserts like a dark chocolate tart with juicy seasonal strawberries,” added Stammers.
