Aperol has announced a new on-pack promotion aimed at tapping into the UK’s booming appetite for spritz cocktails.

From late June, 125,000 bottles of Aperol will hit shelves with a free ‘perfect serve’ jigger designed to help customers mix the perfect Aperol Spritz at home.


The giveaway comes as the Aperol Spritz holds its spot as the UK’s most searched-for cocktail, and as the spritz category has grown by more than £48 million in just two years. The three-part branded jigger– a 75ml measure for prosecco, 50ml for Aperol and 25ml for soda – is already popular in the on-trade and now aims to drive off-trade sales through added value and ease of use.

Retailers are being urged to prepare for a seasonal sales lift by positioning the promotion prominently in-store and pairing it with complementary products such as prosecco and soda.

“The three stacking cups are a great reminder of the other simple ingredients needed for the iconic orange cocktail. With a bit of clever merchandising your customers will be filling those baskets with bottles,” an Aperol spokesperson said.
