Camberley store manager wins BuzzBallz Cocktails’ grand prize

    BuzzBallz Competition Winner Ketan Patel,

Asian Trader reader and Camberley store manager, Ketan Patel, helped his store bag a big prize this summer courtesy of BuzzBallz Cocktails’ summer campaign.

The ready-to-roll cocktail brand, which bounced into independent and convenience stores up and down the country in summer 2022, offered UK retailers the chance to win a prize worth £1,000, including eye-catching POS, a £500 cash prize and £500 worth of BuzzBallz Cocktails.

Patel, who signed up to win, said, “This is a really sociable time. Shoppers want fun and convenient drinks that are ready to go. Our new BuzzBallz Cocktails range is stocked in chiller cabinets and on the counter to make the most of impulse sales.”

Latest insights show RTDs will continue to grow and command eight percent of total alcoholic beverages by 2025 (IWSR). BuzzBallz Cocktails invested heavily in the UK’s independent community and convenience retail sector in the last 18 months, creating a wave of NPD, striking POS and a heavy weight PR, social media, out of home and marketing campaign to engage the sector and connect to shoppers.

David Relph, Country Manager UK and Ireland, says: “The Camberley store is an example of an outlet that is perfect for BuzzBallz Cocktails, with customers seeking convenient and fun brands. We’ve focused relentlessly on supporting stores and driving sales in the convenience sector these last 18 months, and now have our eyes on 2024. We know that shoppers want BuzzBallz Cocktails, not least because they are ready to drink straight from the chiller, but also because they are excellent quality without the need for a bartender. Keep your eyes peeled for what’s coming next!”.

Flavours in the range include limited edition Pornstar Martini, Choc Tease, Tequila ‘Rita, Strawberry ‘Rita, Lotta Colada, Chili Mango and Espresso Martini. The ballz are fully recyclable, use 15% recycled plastic in their construction, and are 13.5 per cent ABV.

The range is now available through Spar wholesalers, AF Blakemore, in the Midlands, CJ Lang in Scotland and Appleby Westwood in the South of England, along with cash & carry operators nationally such as Parfett’s, United Grocers, United Scotland, HT Drinks, Time, Soho, East End, and Global to name a few.

This month also saw the launch of BuzzBallz Biggies – a limited edition 1.75litre format in three top flavours Strawberry ‘Rita, Tequila ‘Rita and Choc Tease (£28 RRP).
