Bestway announces winners of the Bestway Awards

Bestway Wholesale, the UK’s largest independent food and drink wholesaler, announced the winners of The Bestway Awards 2023 – its newly brought together Retail Development Awards (RDAs) and Bestway Performance Awards (BPAs) – at a prestigious ceremony at London’s Marriot Hotel on Park Lane on 2 November.

As part of Bestway’s inspirational Retail Development Programme, the Retail Development Awards have historically celebrated outstanding achievements and business successes from Bestway Retail and independent retailers up and down the country.  These no longer run as they were replaced by the Retail Showcase in 2023.

The Bestway Awards are open to all employees within the Bestway family – from drivers, pickers, telesales teams, store and depot colleagues to office-based colleagues and departments. And everyone across retail and wholesale is invited to participate and nominate a colleague that has shown exemplary behaviour or outstanding achievements.

The Awards – an integral part of the company’s colleague recognition programme – shines a light on those who go above and beyond in providing excellent service to customers.

These new Bestway Awards allows the business to celebrate with both its retailers and colleagues and suppliers (we also have supplier awards) all together at the same time.

The awards evening saw Bestway colleagues, independent retailers, members of the Bestway Retail symbol group members (Best-one, Bargain Booze and Costcutter), and Bestway Wholesale’s Xtra Local Retail Club as well as key supply partners, come together to showcase and recognise exemplars of best practice and growth, seen over the past year.

The winners of the awards are chosen by colleagues from across the Bestway business, demonstrating the “everyone’s voice matters” ethos of the business, which emphasises the importance of colleagues and retailers recognising each other and their achievements together.
