Snappy Shopper partners with Centra to launch ‘Centra Go’ Home Delivery App

Snappy Group, the technology business behind grocery and convenience store delivery app Snappy Shopper, has announced a new overseas strategic partnership. Collaborating with Ireland’s leading convenience grocery retailer, Centra, Snappy will develop and power the new, home delivery app, “Centra Go”.

The move marks a significant milestone for both Snappy Shopper and Centra, as they embark on a journey to deliver a community-focused solution to convenience grocery delivery for Irish shoppers.

Centra’s decision to partner with Snappy Shopper was driven by a deep appreciation for the company’s technical excellence and proven track record in the industry. Recognising that Snappy Shopper’s performance aligns seamlessly with its vision to create and build an app that caters to the unique needs of Centra’s customer base was key.

The Centra Go app will offer shoppers a complete in-store shopping experience from the convenience of their own home with unique features including bespoke categories, deli counter ordering and updated order alert preferences, connecting Centra stores and its customers like never before.

What’s more, alongside traditional grocery, the revolutionary app will enable hot food-to-go for home delivery, meaning Centra can now provide Ireland’s culturally iconic delicacy – known as “The Chicken Fillet Roll” – to shoppers from the comfort of their own homes.

“Entering the Irish market and joining forces with Centra to bring the ‘Centra Go’ app to life is a landmark moment for us,” said Mike Callachan, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer for the Snappy Group. “Our shared customer-centric approach will revolutionise the shopping experience for Centra shoppers. We are confident that our technology will drive value, choice, and unparalleled convenience at every step of the shopper’s journey. Demand for our technology is increasing with the Centra Go app a showcase of the power of our white label capabilities.”

Ian Allen, Managing Director, commented: “At Centra, we strive to provide the best convenience offering to our customers and give them what they want, when they want it. Shoppers will be able to order from thousands of grocery and deli product lines, from chicken fillet rolls to kitchen rolls, all now available as part of the online delivery trial. We are excited by our partnership with Snappy Shopper, their expertise in app development together with Centra retailers’ commitment to quality service will ensure that our shoppers have the most seamless shopping experience available.
