Bells Of Lazonby’s ‘We Love Cake’ launches its first vegan Cherry Bakewell tarts

Bells of Lazonby’s “We Love Cake” has launched a vegan and free-from Cherry Bakewell tart into wholesale and foodservice.

A first for We Love Cake, the free-from take on the tea-time Bakewell is Gluten, Wheat and Milk Free as well as being vegan, while still offering the iconic taste of the renowned, classic British tart.

Individually wrapped and distributed exclusively by Central Foods, the new line will be stocked in independent stores throughout the UK.

“The Cherry Bakewell tart offering is an exciting innovation not just for the We Love Cake brand but for the plant-based category,” said Head of Marketing for Bells of Lazonby, Josh Boydell-Smith.

“It is the ultimate classic sweet treat, so it is fantastic to bring a vegan version to market. We are very proud of the product and can’t wait for people to try it.

Made on the edge of the Lake District by renowned family bakers since 1946, the tarts are baked in small batches by skilled bakers. They promise to taste-match traditionally-made Cherry Bakewells.

The individual tarts are also currently available to UK frozen wholesale, sold individually wrapped, exclusively via Central Foods. For more information about We Love Cake head to the website: https://we-love-cake.co.uk/
