Snappy Shopper partners with EPoS supplier ShopMate

Snappy Shopper has announced a new partnership with the Retail Data Partnership (RDP), one of the UK’s leading EPoS suppliers, to integrate its ShopMate system with Snappy Shopper retailers.

The delivery service said the partnership is born out of its desire to give its retailers the ability and tools to offer even quicker deliveries and control a bigger and more relevant store range to aid improved basket spend.

As purchases are directly updated to systems at the point of purchase, the introduction of ShopMate will also reduce time spent on administrative tasks which will in turn, free up hours to deliver a better customer experience to drive repeat orders and store loyalty, Snappy Shopper said.

ShopMate’s automated price, product and promotional data updates – which are sent both daily and at key period changes directly to Snappy Shopper retailers – will help them to best understand, operate and synchronise their in-store and online menus, it added.

“Our collaboration with Retail Data Partnership represents a significant step forward for the Snappy Shopper marketplace as we focus and build upon our convenience and high street retail footprint,” Mike Callachan, founder and chief executive at Snappy Shopper, said.

“RDP have long been recognised as one of the leading EPOS providersand thought leaders to act upon data insights. We have a shared mindset and commitment to support local retailers by providing them with an incredibly powerful platform service, so they maximise both their in-store performance alongside their customers online shopping behaviours.”

Brian Eagle-Brown, general manager at RDP, added: “Our partnership with Snappy Shopper is a major development within delivery in convenience and will undoubtedly make a real difference to our mutual customers. We are constantly looking to make improvements for our customers and this integration will certainly help save time and effort.”

After a successful testing phase, the nationwide rollout of the partnership will begin this month.
