Cadbury now available as Chocolate Topping Sauce

Mondelēz International has made Cadbury available in a new chocolatey topping sauce.

With its iconic Cadbury flavour and irresistibly silky texture, Cadbury Chocolate Topping Sauce is ideal for drizzling over desserts, ice cream, pancakes and more to add a chocolatey finishing flair to consumers’ favourite treats.

Mondelēz said the opportunity for branded ingredients like Cadbury Chocolate Topping Sauce in stores is significant, with a growing number of retailers having desert bars in-store. In addition, desserts are a growing trend across the market in line with consumers’ demand for a special treat, so outlets can really tap into this opportunity by expanding and finessing their dessert offering with premium, branded products.

“This is a truly incremental opportunity for retailers to encourage shoppers to trade up and add more special treats to their baskets,” Lorena Moyano, brand manager for Cadbury in the away-from-home channel at Mondelēz International, said.

“Whether it’s drizzled over desserts such as ice cream, cakes and cheesecakes or used as a topping for milkshakes and hot chocolates, Cadbury Chocolate Topping Sauce offers the nation’s favourite chocolate brand in a unique squeezable format.”

Cadbury Chocolate Topping Sauce is suitable for vegetarians and can be stored at an ambient temperature, making it a versatile addition to any shelf offering.

“Retailers can combine this delicious new drizzle with our branded Cadbury Inclusions range to encourage shoppers to get creative in the kitchen and offer bespoke chocolatey sundae ingredients and treats – the opportunities are endless,” Moyano added.

The product carries the Cocoa Life logo, meaning 100% of the cocoa used is sustainably sourced through the company’s Cocoa Life programme, which supports sustainable cocoa farming.

Cadbury Chocolate Topping Sauce is now available in 950g recyclable bottles at an RRP of £6.99. Each bottle typically contains at least 60 servings when used as recommended.
