RH Amar inks partnership with Proper Nutty

Leading UK distributor and growth partner, RH Amar, has been appointed by Proper Nutty to help grow the nut butter brand across the UK’s wholesale, convenience and online channels.

Proper Nutty’s range of peanut butters are made with peanuts slow-roasted in small batches and carefully ground within minutes to achieve the brand’s “Smunchy” texture and hand-crafted taste. The brand is loved not only for its flavour but also for its bright packaging and quirky 1kg “paint tin” format for true peanut butter fans.

“This is an exciting time for Proper Nutty, which is partnering with a UK distributor for the first time,” said Justin Burbage, Commercial Director, RH Amar. “We are looking forward to bringing our channel expertise to the brand and showing the value that we can bring to building on the success the company has already achieved since it was founded 10 years ago.’

RH Amar inks partnership with Proper NuttySimon Greenwood-Haigh of Proper Nutty said: “With Proper Nutty outperforming the market, now is the right time to build on this momentum and partner with RH Amar which has a proven track record in opening up opportunities and delivering growth and sales across the wholesale, convenience and online channels.”

Proper Nutty was originally founded by husband-and-wife team, Stuart and Kathryn, in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. The pair fell in love with peanut butter while living in New Zealand and on their return wanted to bring a taste of what they’d discovered to the UK market. They decided to become “peanut pioneers” and began roasting, grinding and packing their own nut butters with their aim to produce peanut butter “done proper”.
Proper Nutty’s range includes Nowt But Nuts Peanut Butter and Slightly Salted Peanut Butter which both come in a 280g glass jar or a larger 1kg “paint tin” format. The butters contain nothing but nuts, apart from a little salt added to the Slightly Salted range.
