Hancocks promotes veteran colleague Alice Moran as Glasgow depot manager

    Alice Moran

Leading confectionery wholesaler Hancocks has appointed Alice Moran as the new manager of its Glasgow depot.

Moran has been working within the business in Scotland for the last 25 years. She takes over from Kerr Mclaren who has moved to a new position internally as an account manager for World of Sweets.

Moran has worked for Hancocks since 1998, joining the business as a cashier in the Glasgow store when it was on its original site in Port Dundas. She worked as VDU operator in the office before becoming customer facing first as a supervisor and now as store manager.

“I’m delighted to be appointed as store manager for Glasgow. I’ve worked within the business for a quarter of a century and am most definitely ready to take on this new challenge,” Moran said.

“It’s been an interesting few years for Hancocks. We had the challenges of the pandemic and the fun and excitement around the 60th birthday celebrations which provided a good opportunity to connect with customers and suppliers.

“I’m looking forward to leading the team at Glasgow and working closely with our retail customers over the coming months and years to supply them with the very best confectionery.”

Moran will be heading up the 15 strong team at the depot on Blochairn Road which welcomes retail customers from Glasgow and the surrounding area.
