S&W Wholesale chief Michael Skelton resigns from Unitas board

    Michael Skelton

S&W Wholesale chief executive Michael Skelton has decided to step down from the board Unitas Wholesale, the buying group has announced.

Skelton has been serving as a non-executive member director of the board since November 2021.

Commenting on the decision, he said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my role as a non-executive member director of Unitas Wholesale; however, it is now time for me to focus my time and attention on the S&W business – we have some extensive development and growth plans during the next 12-18 months, following our move to an EOT model operating for the benefit of the employees. This will be the major focus for my time as we implement our strategy to grow and expand the business, working collaboratively with our customers and suppliers to ensure successful trading for decades to come.

“I wish John Kinney, the board, executive and central team at Unitas Wholesale a successful future and look forward to continuing our work together as a member of the Group”

John Kinney, Unitas managing director, said: “We are very grateful to Michael for his expertise, support and knowledge of the industry during his time as a board member and look forward to continuing to work with him and the S&W Wholesale team into the future.”
