Broadland Drinks adds alcohol-free to Three Mills range

Award-winning wine and drinks producer Broadland Drinks is adding three non-alcoholic SKUs to Three Mills, the UK’s number one most-shopped British Wine brand. Initially launching with a Fruity and Zesty White, a Light and Fruity Rosé and a Juicy and Smooth Red, the new bottles are on shelves now.

Broadland Drinks adds alcohol-free to Three Mills range“Whilst it is younger consumers who are most likely to not drink alcohol, almost 40 per cent of regular wine drinkers are actively moderating their consumption and seeking a great-tasting alternative,” said Nicola Cannon, Senior Brand Manager. “Caffeine and other soft drinks are not designed to target the same need state as alcohol; there’s very little choice for consumers looking for a great tasting wine alternative.”

Blended with 100 per cent natural botanical flavours for a fruity, refreshing finish, Three Mills zero per cent is vegan, gluten-free and less than 40 calories per serving. Developed at Broadland Drinks’ Norfolk winery and encompassing over 50 years of winemaking tradition, the wine-style flavour profiles and added mouthfeel to imitate alcohol offer the growing number of alcohol reducers a credible alternative from a much-loved brand.

With UK branded alcohol-free wine worth £32 million pa and growing four per cent YoY, consumers’ taste for no-and-low wine alternatives shows no sign of abating. “Compare the growth of alcohol-free wine with the minus eight per cent YoY decline of total still wine and it becomes apparent how retailers can modify range to increase choice and optimize sales,” added Cannon.
