Snappy Shopper boosts online orders for 50 C-stores with penny promotion

Fifty independent retailers across England and Wales achieved a 46 per cent boost in online orders after taking part in a cost-of-living promotion through home delivery app, Snappy Shopper.

The campaign ran for three days (28 – 30 September) and during that time over 3,000 bundles were sold. The offer allowed customers to stock up on the below lunchtime essentials for just one penny:

    • 3 or 4 multipack of juice
    • 6 pack of crisps
    • Fruit
    • 400g bread
    • Sandwich Filling, e.g. Pack of Cold Meat or Cheese 100g

The top-performing stores on the platform sold more than 300 bundles during the promotion. The offer was open to new and existing customers, allowing retailers to give something back to the loyal customers who have always supported the service, as well as acquiring new customers for their store.

Snappy Shopper continues to focus on supporting both local stores and local communities, receiving incredible feedback from retailers and customers alike around the benefits of this kind of offer amid the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

“Supporting local retailers and the communities which they serve is at the heart of everything we do at Snappy Shopper,” said Dael Links, Head of B2B Marketing at Snappy Shopper. “Being able to offer a helping hand, via our penny bundles, is extremely rewarding, especially given the tough financial climate throughout the UK at present. We’re all about listening to our retailers and their customers, so I can confirm that we will be back with more penny bundle offers and other special promos, following the fantastic feedback which we received last week.”
