Forecourt retailer EG Group has opened a new SPAR convenience store and forecourt site in Polmadie, Glasgow.

Situated just off the M74 main artery road into Glasgow, the 4,500 sqft store opened on 27 May. The new forecourt has eight lanes as well as dedicated parking for shoppers. The forecourt also boasts an external ATM and is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

The SPAR Scotland store has a host of food-to-go options including sandwiches, snacks, as well as a Leon Coffee unit and Greggs bakery, opening mid-June. Fresh produce, Lottery and Paypoint services (coming soon) and free Wi-Fi further enhance the offering in-store.

“We are very excited to see the EG Group SPAR Polmadie site open. This stunning forecourt is the latest to join the SPAR brand in Scotland,” Steven Irons, wholesale sales director for SPAR Scotland said.

“Our recruitment drive across Scotland continues at pace and we’re looking forward to announcing more new accounts soon. This is an exciting time to be part of SPAR in Scotland as we continue with our business transformation programme.”
