Police have issued a CCTV photo seeking information about the man who attacked a shop worker in Bournemouth in December last year.

As per local reports, the incident happened on Dec 30 at 10:45 pm when a man barged into Kings Park convenience store in Ashley Road, Boscombe, in Bournemouth, and demanded cash from the till. He attacked the shop worker with a piece of wood and threatened him with a screwdriver, Dorset Police said on Sunday (16).

The shop worker had suffered injuries to his head and hand and had to be taken to hospital.

Detective Constable Neil Causebrook, of Bournemouth CID, said, “This was understandably an extremely distressing ordeal for the victim, who was attacked while simply doing his job.

“We have launched a detailed investigation into this robbery and have obtained CCTV images of the suspect.

“I would urge anyone who recognises him, or who has any further information relating to this incident, to please contact us immediately.

“I am particularly keen to hear from any witnesses, as our enquiries indicate that there was a man who raised the alarm with passers by after the incident, but we have not been able to obtain his details.”
