    Clevedon shop worker suffered ankle fracture in assault inside store

    A shop worker sustained a fractured ankle and required hospital treatment after being assaulted in the store in Clevedon, near Bristol.

    Officers have now issued CCTV images of two people, a male and a female, in connection with the incident happened in Great Western Road at about 6pm on 7 October.

    “We hope the public can help us identify the two people, pictured below, who we wish to talk to as part of our ongoing enquiries,” Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement.

    The male is described as white, in his 30s, with black hair and short beard. He was wearing a black jacket, blue shorts and black trainers. The female is said to be white, in her 30s, with long bright red hair. She was seen wearing a pink jumper and blue jeans.

    Anyone who recognises the pair, or witnessed what happened, should call 101 and give reference number 5221234479.

    The police has also issued visuals of a male in connection with their enquiries into a separate incident of assault on a shop worker in Bristol city centre.

    This incident happened at a shop in St Augustine’s Parade at just after 4.20pm on 1 November.

    A male customer was reportedly refusing to leave the premises as requested by staff, and had slapped the arm of one of the staff once outside. It caused the victim to drop his phone causing it to break.

    He’s described as white, of slim build, about 6ft and had short brown hair He was wearing a camouflage-style jacket, blue Adidas jogging bottoms and white shoes. He was carrying a black and yellow shoulder bag too.

    Witnesses, or anyone who recognises the male, should call 101 and give reference number 5221256756.
