Sysco Speciality Group launches four online ordering apps

Sysco Speciality Group, a member of the Sysco global family of food service businesses, has launched four online ordering apps, developed by Yorkshire SaaS provider Adventoris, as it continues to shift towards a company-wide digital future.

Sysco Speciality Group is a family of fresh and speciality businesses with over 50 years’ experience serving its customers. It provides a unique UK proposition to a range of different customers who enjoy bespoke solutions, expertise, and the perfect products for their menus.

Sysco Speciality Group has introduced the online ordering apps powered by SwiftCloud to brands M&J Seafood, Fresh Direct, Fresh Fayre and Wild Harvest.

Huddersfield-based Adventoris is the creator of SwiftCloud, a mobile app for distributors and wholesalers that provides businesses with a platform that enables their customers to see products, communicate with the company and place orders 24/7.

Benefits of the app include a round-the-clock channel for businesses to communicate with customers, the ability to place and receive orders, resolve queries and manage accounts.

James Armitage, marketing director at Sysco Speciality Group, said: “The food service industry is seeing more and more customers moving to online shopping and digital ordering.

“Not to mention the effect that the pandemic has had on all sectors, not just our own, highlighting the importance of a digital presence.

“As a UK-wide business, SwiftCloud has allowed our business to improve the overall customer ordering experience by giving customers the option to order everything they need via our four handy mobile apps.

“The additional modules, such as telesales and desktop ordering are a perfect fit for our business.”

Adventoris’ managing director, James Clarkson, said: “Sysco Speciality Group produces the biggest volume of orders out of all our apps, with thousands of orders going through each month.

“Working with large organisations such as Sysco Speciality Group, we have to continually adapt our app software to ensure it can keep up with the changing demands of industries as they fully embrace digitisation.

“Introducing new modules, such as telesales and the desktop ordering is just the start and we have plans in the near future to ensure SwiftCloud provides the full package for online ordering.”
