Scots cakes get boost from Cakely Co range

A new cake brand, Cakely Co, has launched into convenience stores with a range of cake slices and  cake jars designed to satisfy customer demand for sweet treats featuring big brand ingredients.

Cakely Co is the latest range from Cake, the Glasgow-based bakery established in 2011 to produce the highest-quality handmade cakes, scones and traybakes.

“We know there’s a real appetite for indulgent treats, particularly those with recognisable ingredients, such as Biscoff, Nutella and Jammy Dodgers,” said Lauren Ingram, Bakery Manager, Cake.

“We’re delighted that they’re flying off the shelves as they combine bright and colourful packaging which immediately attracts customer attention, with the amazing taste that comes from being hand made with locally-sourced ingredients.

“We will be adding new products to the range each month to ensure there’s always a reason for customers to come back for more,” she said.

The range was launched into selected Scotmid stores in April. However, demand has been so high that the range is now being rolled out across the majority of the Scotmid store estate.

All Cakely Co products are handmade using free range eggs and most ingredients are sourced in Scotland, including the packaging, sleeves and labels.

    The range includes:

Large Cake Slices, 4 per case, RRP £3.99

Small Cake Slices, 6 per case RRP £2.99

Cake Jars, 6 per case RRP £3.99
