    Amacor takes over 13th store

Amacor Capital Limited has taken over a Calder Valley store this month, taking the number of stores the fast-growing group operates to 13.

The store in Hebden Bridge, a Nisa Local, will continue to trade under the fascia with customers unaffected by the handover.

“We’ll be operating with the same team and will continue to stock the specialist ranges which we know is key to the local customers. It is important to us that we continue to serve the existing customer base and to ensure the level of service and niche products continue to be available to them” Alex Wilson, head of acquisitions at Amacor, said.

“In time, we will undertake a store refresh including a new updated fascia and a range review.”

Situated in the heart of the West Yorkshire town, the store boasts a wide array of meat-free products and specialist plant-based goods as well as a broad selection of fine wines along with the usual convenience offer.

Martin Corban, managing director at Amacor, said: “I’m really pleased to get the store across the line, it should be a great addition to our portfolio. We wish John the very best for the future.”

Established in 2018, Amacor aims to grow their portfolio of stores to 20 by the end of the year. They joined Nisa as a key account in the summer of 2019.

“We’re delighted to be working with Amacor and supporting them with their growth strategy,” commented Ian Bacon, manager of the key accounts team at Nisa.

“The Hebden Bridge store is a fantastic business which has been serving its community well for many years and we’re pleased to see it remain within the Nisa family and look forward to it continuing to perform over the coming months.”
