Basket spend increases six-fold for Jisp adopters at Bestway

Bestway Wholesale said the average basket spend at stores participating in the roll out of shopping app Jisp stands at £48, six times greater than the industry average.

Jisp has been working with Bestway since November 2020 to bring the home delivery, click & collect and scan & go services to its retailers across the whole symbol group.

The numbers come in as a result of a full technology rollout with Bestway Wholesale, with more stores coming on board every week, and numbers quickly ramping.

“We are delighted to see such positive results with our Bestway partners, and this is only the beginning,” commented Julian Fisher, founder and chief executive of Jisp.

“Our app on average delivers over 400 per cent increase on basket spend and over 500 per cent increase on items per basket, so, considering we are only a few months into our full rollout with Bestway, the numbers are already exceeding our expectations.”

The trial commenced in January this year, and both companies have been working with retailers across the group to integrate the new services and closely monitor success rates, with full rollout taking place just a month later.

Barry Thomas, the owner of BJ Thomas News in Doncaster and one of the early Bestway adopters of the technology, said: “By working with Jisp, Bestway has provided me the gateway to really engage with and attract more customers. Jisp has been the perfect partner to work with, the company has really gone above and beyond and helped me attract new customers each week through the home delivery and click & collect app.

“We are seeing an increase of sales by 500 per cent compared to my usual basket spend of £9.65! With the continuous support of Bestway and Jisp, I’ve been able to launch campaigns and promote my new services, and now I can really see it paying off as orders are increasingly coming through!”
