Leading confectionery wholesaler Hancocks has urged retailers to get ready for a busy season as lockdown restrictions begin to ease.

The company said it has increased its range of ice cream products to meet demand with Brits being encouraged to enjoy holidays at home.

Ice cream cones, sauces and toppings are always a popular choice, particularly in seaside towns, and Hancocks said it has an unrivalled selection to choose from.

As well as the classic ice-cream cones, it also stocks a range of popular waffle cones including an eye-catching Tall Blue Sherbet Waffle Ice Cream Cones, which is dipped in white chocolate and rolled in blue sherbet.

These cones are also available dipped in milk chocolate, and rainbow sprinkles.

The plain waffle cone is available in boxes of 120 for £16.99. The rainbow cone in packs of 90 for £29.99 and the remaining two in packs of 105 for £29.99.

Other ice-cream cones available include Fiesta Classic Small Cones, Large Cones and Twin Cones.

Businesses selling ice creams can add to their customer offering with a tasty range of toppings and sauces.

A 625g bottle of the Crazy Frosty Factory Strawberry Ice Cream Topping Sauce costs £1.99 and contains approximately 100 servings, offering retailers great margins. Other flavours include raspberry, milk chocolate and bubblegum,

Another chocolate flavoured favourite is the Hershey’s Chocolate Flavour Syrup, which comes in 680g bottles for £2.15 each.

The Oreo Vanillia Cookie Crumbs are a solid bestseller and the range has been extended to include the crumbs without pieces of vanilla filling. Both come in a 400g bag for £1.99.

500g of Cadbury Crunchie Bits costs £6.79 and make a delicious topper treat.

New additions to the ice cream toppings range include Nestle’s favourites. The Rolo Mini Mix and Milkybar Mini Mix both come in 400g bags, with the bubbly Aero Mix coming in 500g bags.

For a little more luxury, the Lotus Biscoff Topping Sauce, a squeezable version of Lotus’ much-loved caramelised biscuits is the perfect topping. This is available in 1kg bottles for £5.49.

It is worth also trying the delicious Lotus Biscoff Crumbs, to accompany their tasty sauce. The crumbs come in a 750g bag costing £2.99.

“When the sun’s out, there’s always a rush for the kind of refreshments that can keep us cool and ice cream is always a very popular choice,” commented Chris Smith, marketing communications manager at Hancocks.

“Ice-cream has moved on a lot recently. Customers want different cones, mouth-watering sauces and indulgent toppings so it is important to be able to offer them exactly what they want. Getting stocked up now means you’ll be ready when the UK reopens for business.”

Besides the 14 nationwide Hancocks cash and carry stores, customers can also shop online with delivery to the door or click and collect options.
