GroceryAid launches new service for children and young people

Industry charity GroceryAid has announced the launch of a new mental health service for children and young people.

On the occasion of Children’s Mental Health Week this week, GroceryAid has partnered with Kooth, an organisation specialises in digital mental health for children and young people aged between 11 – 25 years.

The children or dependents of the grocery industry colleagues can access this free service, which gives confidential online counselling and support, by signing up to Kooth.

“Parents and carers are doing such a great job of juggling home schooling, working and parenting and this service could help you help alleviate some pressures that your children might be feeling,” GroceryAid said in a communication.

“Students away from home or those who have been unable to go back to university may be showing heightened anxiety and Kooth’s self-help tools and forums could help them talk about their feelings.”

The service offers access to professionally trained counselors without the typical barriers to support: no waiting lists, no thresholds, no cost and complete anonymity.
