PepsiCo will end the Walkers Counts For More, the online rewards and category management scheme for retailers, on 31 July.

The firm has replaced the scheme, in place from April 2014, with a new rewards scheme called *shopt, a free mobile app which will also offer broader business support, such as news on offers, new products and advice on ranging.

PepsiCo said the move follows feedback from retailers and the new rewards system is simpler for retailers than Counts For More, with vouchers being done away with.

The new scheme will pay cash rewards straight into retailers’ bank accounts when they redeem against PepsiCo/Walkers products.

The cash reward app *shopt, developed by CPM UK, focuses on connecting brands to independent retailers. It is available on both iOS and android platforms.
