NFRN partners with shopping app Jisp

The Federation of Independent Retailers (NFRN) has announced a new partnership with Alton-based mobile app Jisp.

The solution provides retailers with same-day home delivery, click & collect, mobile payments and in-store scan & go services.

“We are delighted to become the big voice for smaller businesses wishing to kickstart their digital presence with Jisp solutions,” commented Julian Fisher, chief executive of Jisp.

With the demand for cashless purchases and online shopping increasing in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the app will help local retailers to offer various services like in-store barcode scanning with shoppers’ smartphones, automatically adding products to the virtual basket and allowing them to checkout securely.

“Jisp was not only able to answer the call for contact-free shopping behaviour but meet the needs of the Federation in a very short time. We are looking forward to this fantastic partnership that establishes a new benchmark for customer engagement and communication,” Fisher added.

NFRN said the digital transformation will create an additional income stream for retailers in these challenging times.

“This opportunity comes at a time where physical meets digital in retail, and we’re well placed to provide the most advanced app for our members across the UK and Ireland that will be loved by our customers too,” said Stuart Reddish, national president of NFRN.

“Whether it’s home delivery, click &collect, scan & go, communications or gamification, this app will set the benchmark for the retail experience of the future.”

The federation said a number of its members’ stores will be trialling the app over coming weeks.
