225 SPAR, EUROSPAR and VIVO stores are now delivering across Northern Ireland

A total of 225 community stores under SPAR, EUROSPAR and VIVO brands in Northern Ireland are now offering home delivery service for the needy in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

Henderson Group, which owns the brands in Northern Ireland, urged the consumers to stay at home and use delivery services where possible.

“The rapid progression of the COVID-19 outbreak in Northern Ireland has meant that we now operate differently and are asking our shoppers to shop differently too,” a spokesperson said.

The group has closed many of the deli counters and placed restrictions on the number of products that can be purchased and the number of people allowed in stores as part of the response to the crisis. The group has also implemented social distancing measures and hygiene rules in the stores.

“However, we are firmly placed to provide everyday essentials straight to our shoppers’ homes thanks to these delivery services in a number of communities in Northern Ireland,” the spokesperson added.
