Molson Coors has unveiled a new corporate logo and identity which the company said will balance “the heritage of the Molson and Coors names.”

The modern and contemporary look also signals its planned move beyond the beer aisle, following the official change in name to Molson Coors Beverage Company on 1 January.

“Our logo is a celebration of the new look and direction of Molson Coors Beverage Company,” said Gavin Hattersley, chief executive.

“We will continue to compete and win on the foundation of our great beers, but the reality is our future will expand beyond that.”

The company has embarked upon a corporate restructuring and revitalization plan that included the consolidation of business units and the reorganization of its North American office locations.

With the introduction of a new identity, the company is phasing out its MillerCoors name in the US. The new logo pays homage to the former unit by carrying over an evolved pint glass.
