The Dole Sunshine Company appoints Gareth Roberts as UK country manager

Packaged fruit products and healthy snacks producer, The Dole Sunshine Company, has announced the appointment of Gareth Roberts as UK Country Manager, replacing Andrew Bradshaw who has left the business.

Gareth started his sales journey with Quorn in 2009, starting out as an account executive in a newly created role at the time. After just over a year, he was promoted to National Account Manager and over the next few years managed all the major multiples with most of his time spent leading the Tesco business both in the UK and Ireland. He was then promoted to Sales Controller in 2017 and was responsible for half of the UK retail business which was worth c£97m NSV across both the chilled and frozen categories. He held this position until joining Fentimans in October 2021 as their UK controller leading the off-trade team, and in March last year took on the additional responsibility for the Out of Home team too, before leaving in October 2023.

“The main reason for joining Dole was a desire to get back to working for a purpose-led business,” said Gareth. “Having three young children meant this was particularly important to me. I was also already a consumer and love Pineapple, so it felt like a great opportunity!”
