Jisp agrees partnership with Kash Retail

Jisp, which recently revealed retail sales through its Scan & Save mobile app solution were up 327 per cent (hitting the £3.5million mark for 2023), has been growing its retail partnerships, investing in its retail growth team to drive recruitment and help retailers maximise the performance of Scan & Save in store to increase footfall, sales and basket size.

Kash Retail and Jisp opened discussions in October when the companies met at Nisa’s 2023 Expo at Stoneleigh. Following a fact-finding visit to multiple Scan & Save Nisa stores to witness the benefits of Scan & Save in action, a go live date was agreed and a store manager training day arranged so Kash Retail’s stores could hit the ground running.

“We’re really looking forward to Scan & Save rolling out across the estate and we’re excited by the many significant benefits it brings to us and our customers,” said Kash Retail’s operations manager Kevin Polley.

“We’d been monitoring Scan & Save for some time and seen the impact it was having in other retailers’ businesses. It was always going to be all in for us – if we’re running Scan & Save as our loyalty and rewards platform, we want it to be a consistent offering across all our stores. We view this as an important part of our customer proposition as we continue to grow the business.

Kash Retail currently has eight stores across Yorkshire and the north-east of England and toward the end of 2023 relaunched its Bedale site in North Yorkshire, with a full refurbishment.

Jisp’s retail director Esther Lawrence added, “We’re delighted to be working with Kash Retail and rolling out Scan & Save across its entire retail estate. As a platform it is proven to drive footfall, grow sales, enhance margin and increase frequency of shopper visits, so this is an exciting time for the Kash Retail business.”

Scan & Save offers both a loyalty and reward scheme for independent retailers. The money-off vouchers can be used in a specific local store whilst the shopper earns rewards. The scheme ensures shopper loyalty to local stores help communities thrive by keeping spend local.

Shoppers download the app from their mobile device and load vouchers into their wallet. Once in store, they simply present/scan the vouchers at the till point to redeem them saving pounds on their weekly shop.
