    Shopkeeper assaulted and robbed in Leicester

    Leicestershire Police has issued an appeal for witnesses after a shopkeeper was assaulted and robbed in Leicester last week.

    The incident took place at Roy’s Corner shop in Green Lane Road around 7.30pm on 16 November.

    According to the police, three youths entered the shop, threatened the shopkeeper before pushing him over and kicking him multiple times. The suspects then made off with cash from the till.

    The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries, the police added.

    The suspects have been described as being between 15 and 16 years old, with one being around 5ft 4ins tall.

    Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or saw youths matching the description of the suspects in the area to get in touch.
