    Yutaka feeds Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic champions

    Japanese food experts, Yutaka, known for their wide range of Japanese ingredients such as sushi, curry & miso, treated double medallist Georgia Taylor-Brown and gold medallist Charlotte Worthington along with around 18 Olympic and Paralympic champions to their finest food and drink in celebration of the phenomenal achievements at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic games.

    British triathlete, Georgie Taylor-Brown who won silver in the women’s triathlon and Gold in the mixed triathlon relay team and Gold Medallist British cyclist Charlotte Worthington were joined by British Paralympic Swimmer Hannah Russell MBE who won Gold in the 100m backstroke and Bronze in the 100m freestyle and silver medallist Paralympic swimmer Grace Harvey who won 100m breaststroke to reminisce and rave about their experience in Japan and importantly how much they loved the food.

    The event was hosted by The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, Jo Ahmed, Honorary Consul of Japan in Manchester and Deloitte Partner and Rachel McCrystal MD of Connect with Japan at Halle St Peter’s.

    Special guest on the evening was his Excellency Ambassador Hayashi from the Embassy of Japan who was presented with a framed piece of art depicting the golden Manchester worker bee with the Japanese flag.

    “It has been an absolute honour to be a part of this fantastic event and we congratulate each and every one of the athletes for their phenomenal determination and achievements,” said Mr Ken Furukawa, CEO of Tazaki Foods.
