Livingston retailer Javed Iqbal wins £10,000 in Camelot quarterly draw

    Javed Iqbal

Javed Iqbal, who owns Superway Keystore in Livingston, has won the £10,000 prize in Camelot’s Site, Stock, Sell online quarterly prize draw.

He consistently maintained high in-store standards across all three months of the quarter, giving him automatic entry into the big draw – which dishes out a £10,000 top prize and ten £1,000 prizes.

“When I found out I’d won, I was actually shell-shocked. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I always used to see other winners of this prize and think ‘wow that would be amazing to win’, Iqbal said.

“After an extremely hard year for everyone, my wife and I will take great pleasure in treating our children and, if possible, I will use it to help expand my business so I can help support my loyal customers even more. The shop is like a community hub and having The National Lottery here allows us to interact with our customers and we get to see the excitement on their faces when they have a winning ticket!”

A further ten National Lottery retailers each won £1,000 in the draw. They are Samithamby Sivanantham, who owns JK News in Mansfield, Samantha Smith of Elton House News in Ipswich, Mukund Patel of Copperfields in Brentwood, Asif Hanif of North Berwick Newsagents in North Berwick, and two retailers in London and one each from Birmingham, Harrow, Crawley and Chorley who have chosen to remain anonymous.

In addition, Camelot has awarded 25 retailers with tickets to the ParalympicsGB Homecoming event at London’s SSE Arena on 12 September. The operator ran a special bonus event to reward retailers for playing their part in helping to deliver a truly special retail experience over course of the Tokyo Games.

“Congratulations to all the winners in this quarter’s Site, Stock, Sell online prize draw – keep up the fantastic work,” James Dunbar, Camelot’s head of field sales, commented.

“And well done to those who have won tickets to the ParalympicsGB Homecoming event next month – it will be a fantastic chance to celebrate the achievements of our incredible National Lottery-funded Paralympians, and a much-deserved thank you for helping to make our Tokyo Games retail presence so spectacular.”
