North Yorkshire retailer opens second store

Veteran retailer Colin Graves has opened a second store in Grassington, North Yorkshire, located a few miles away from his existing forecourt site.

Graves has ambitious plans to develop the store, trading as the Dales Market Square, on par with the well-established Dales Market Corner in Pateley Bridge.

The new store will be operated on a day to day basis by Stacey Brookes, who already manages the daily running of the Pateley Bridge store.

“We will be embarking on a development programme over the coming weeks and months and the new store will gradually change to improve the shopping experience as well as provide shoppers with more competitive prices,” Brookes said.

“We will be offering our new customers a full range of Co-op own brand products, which have been really well received in our Pateley Bridge store.”

The former Spar/Budgens store in Grassington’s High Street is now trading with an improvement plan underway.

“Over the next three months we will be extending the internal sales area of the shop, making it more spacious for shoppers, easier to navigate and a more comfortable space to use in the years ahead,” Brookes explained.

“Our aim is to make our store the centre of the Grassington community, and to provide local people with a store that makes their shopping experience enjoyable, good value and a pleasure to shop in.”
