Addo Food Group recruits for temporary positions as COVID-19 response

Leading chilled pastry producer Addo Food Group has announced a recruitment drive for temporary jobs across its six sites.

The company said the move could help people affected by recent redundancy within the hospitality and leisure-based industry as a result of COVID-19.

Deborah Bolton, chief executive, said: “Coronavirus has impacted so many businesses within the hospitality industry already and as workers are being laid off all over the country from restaurants, pubs and bars, we’re pleased to be able to offer temporary positions within our six sites, which may help ease the financial pressure that a lot of people now find themselves in.

“It’s a really difficult time for people and it’s important that we help where we can.”

The company is offering roles to people with all levels of experience within its Spalding, Nottingham, Market Drayton, Shaftesbury and Poole factories.

Experience within the food manufacturing industry isn’t essential as full training will be provided for all roles.

Addo Food Group manufactures a range of savoury quiches, pies, pasties, slices, scotch eggs, sausage rolls and pork pies for major retailers, including leading brands Wall’s Pastry and Pork Farms.
